475+ HORSEPOWER TOP END KIT - C1830 The factory performance that the Corvette LT5 Engine has is legendary. We at EXOTIC MUSCLE transform the factory package into nothing less than what we feel to be awe inspiring performance. CYLINDER HEADS The cylinder heads are first hand ported to maximize flow. Then the heads are Extrude Honed and the chambers are polished. A complete valve job is performed using state of the art equipment. Titanium retainers are installed to lighten the valve train. Higher RPM levels can now be reached safely. INDUCTION SYSTEM The plenum and injector housings are port matched and Extrude Honed to increase airflow to the cylinder heads. CAMSHAFTS We have three Camshaft Profiles available. Our recommended Cam Profile depends on the year of the engine as a result of the cylinder head changes from 1990-'94. The early models respond well to the re-degreeing of factory camshafts. Aftermarket performance cams work well on the later LT5 motor. EXHAUST SYSTEM Since we plan to increase airflow through the induction system, the exhaust must be opened up to reduce as much back pressure as possible. To accomplish this a cat-back exhaust system is now installed. Custom stainless steel full length headers (Off-Road only), are available as an added option. FINAL TUNING - The fuel and timing curves are re-programed to ensure top horsepower and a broad torque band. APPLICATION: C4 / ZR1
